How it works

Batches. Words come in batches of 20. Pick any batch to review it. To mark a batch as learned, take its batch quiz: 20 words-in-context questions, one per word, and you need all 20 right. Pass it and the batch gets a check mark. Miss any and those words go into your review pile; retake the quiz whenever you're ready.

Review shows the word and its part of speech. Recall the meaning, flip the card, then grade yourself: Again (it comes back in this session), Hard, Good or Easy. Each grade sets when the word returns: Hard in about a day, Good in 5 days or more, Easy in 20 days or more, and the gaps grow each time you remember it. You spend your time on the words you don't know yet.

Quiz asks SAT-style words-in-context questions. With a batch picked, it's that batch's pass-or-retry quiz; with All words, it's 10 practice questions. Missed words go straight into your review.
